My Impressions:

Pros:

Dyno tuned to help your modded engine produce for horsepower.

Does not affect your factory warranty, but did ever stop you from modifying your ride.

Direct replacement for your oem mass air sensor.

Price is in the ball park of the oem or other aftermarket mass air sensors.

Direct plug in to your factory connector.

Super easy to install with minimal tools required.

Cons:

None yet.

Bottom Line:

During my tuning efforts I found out that I had used the wrong cleaning fluids to clean my mass air sensor with and I had ruined it. Yup, you cannot use brake cleaner to clean your mass air sensor, it will kill it!

I had a choice to make, replace the oem with another oem or go aftermarket? We are already using Granatelli's spark plug wires and I like their build quality, so I talked to Joe Granatelli and he suggested we run his mass air sensor. We talked about what mods we had done to the truck so far, and he pointed out that his mass air sensor was dyno tuned to work best with my aftermarket mods versus an oem replacement. He also told me to expect a 10+ horsepower increase with his mass air sensor, so of course we jumped at the chance to check out these results for ourselves.

Installation is a breeze and can be done by any do it your self type of person with standard tools. As you can see in the installation pictures our installation is really easy, because we are running the K&N Air Intake System on our truck.

I have noticed that my truck is crisper starting, and has more get up and go when you mash the loud peddle. Gas mileage is slightly better then the oem mass air sensor, but I have a hard time keeping my foot of the throttle long enough to do some proper gas mileage testing. After all I do not own a Raptor to get VW Beetle type fuel mileage, no sir!

The bottom line is if you need to replace your mass air sensor, and have a stock or modded vehicle I would suggest you taking a look at what Granatelli has to offer you for your vehicles needs.

Note: Clean your Mass Air Sensor and Throttle Body with factory approved cleaning fluids. It doesn't matter what brand of mass air sensor you are using, clean it with unapproved cleaners and it will destroy your mass air sensor!

I suggest cleaning your mass air sensor periodically. This will give you maximum performance and also keep your gas mileage in check too.
