Reasons for this Ram Mounts Review

We have the bullet proof Garmin 60CSx which we want to use in our road vehicles, snowmobile's, side by sides, atv's, etc. for navigation.

The only mount system that I want in any of my vehicles is the Ram Mounts. I like having the options of available mounts, to be able to install permanent mounted base brackets on each vehicle that I will be using when I need my GPS. This way I can just take my GPS from vehicle to vehicle when needed.

Product Description:

The RAM Zinc coated U-Bolt Rail Base consists of the 1" dia. ball and socket system with RAM Composite Cradle for the Garmin GPSMAP 60C Series.
The Rail Base has a 1.0" diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail.
The Zinc Coated metal U-Bolt and nuts included will fit a circular rail with diameter from 1/2" to 1.0".
For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM-B-231LZS Large Rail Base for circular rails with diameter from 1/2" to 1 3/8".
NOTE: This base is NOT rust proof. If you are looking to use this mount in the elements, we suggest the RAM-B-231 Stainless Steel U-Bolt Mount.

My Impressions:

Pros:

Ram Mounts have a mount to fit almost any application.

Ram Mounts are built tough.

Simple installation.

Cons:

None.

Bottom Line:

When I mount any of my electronics, I-pod, etc. in any of my vehicles I always turn to Ram Mounts for their mounting hardware. I have found that no matter what I needed to mount in my vehicles Ram Mounts have always been able to meet my needs.

Their hardware is built tough, wears very well, and is very easy to install. I find once you have your electronics attached with a Ram Mounts mount, it is going no where, but with you wherever the trail takes you.

I have used Ram Mounts in motorcycles, boats, airplanes, cars, snowmobiles, atv's, & UTV's, with excellent results. I say they can cover almost any vehicle that you have.

The bottom line is I would highly recommend a Ram Mount for you if you are looking to mount your valuable electronics in your vehicle. For the low price of a Ram Mount, this is very cheap insurance to protect your gps or other electronics while exploring the back country. All you need to do is have your gps fall off and leave you stranded.

Not me, I mount my GPS with a Ram Mounts Mount!
