What Criteria Do You Look At When Choosing An ATV, UTV, And or Snowmobile Loading Ramp?
Do you make decisions based on "What you Need" or "What you Want"?
Here are some of the things I look at to establish my need to purchase.
1: What Powersports Vehicle you will be loading and using:
A: What size & weight is your atv, utv, or snowmobile?
B: How wide is your vehicle that you will be loading into your truck bed?
C: Do you have modifications done to your atv, like extra wide tires, wheel spacers etc.
Note: This can make a huge impact on what ramp size, width, or length of ramp you need.
2: What Vehicle you will be using to haul your powersports vehicle with.
A: What size and type of hauler vehicle do you have?
B: Do you have stock tires or taller ones?
C: Do you have a lift kit?
D: Do you have short or long bed?
Note: This definitely will let you know if you need a longer ramp due to the ramp angle being steeper as your vehicle height increases. A longer ramp will have less of an approach angle for loading, versus a shorter ramp. Also if you have a short bed you may not have room to store a longer ramp.
3: YouÂ’re Budget:
A: Money is a key factor, but should not be discounted to purchase an inferior ramp
Note: I say save some money on the atv purchase and put that towards a quality built ramp. It will last you a long time, and also will be a safer loading platform for you & your ATV, etc.
4: Your Physical shape & condition.
A: Are you small framed?
B: Are you in good shape physically?
Note: LetÂ’s face it, we are all not built like body builders. As we get older it requires more effort to lift heavy things. Why purchase something that will throw your back out while you are trying to load your atv, sled or utv. After all fun is why we do this sport right. For fun or for work, safety is a key.
Plan ahead, and purchase after you have went through your check list of what you really need versus what you want.

My Impressions:
Pros:
- Light weight and durable aluminum construction.
- Overly wide gate grip provides a wide surface for the ramp to set on your tail gate.
- ATV & UTV ramps have a built in safety guide rail to prevent you from slipping off the ramp easily.
- Sled ramp has added ski guides, and an added traction ramp for ease of loading.
- All ramps fold up to a smaller more compact storage size, and can be stored in the bed of your truck easily.
- The arched construction makes this ramp stronger, and can withstand a heavier bearing load much better then conventional ramps.
- Longer ramps greatly decrease the approach angle, making for a much easier and safer loading & unloading experience.
- Single safety strap attached to the sturdy build center section, keeps this ramp securely attached to your vehicle while loading and unloading.
