My First Impressions:

Pros:

Power that comes on like a junk yard dog.

Excellent boon docking sled that is very suited for the trails in the U.P. of Michigan.

Love the variable controlled hand & thumb warmers.

Best handling off trail crossover machine yet.

Infinite tune-able suspension.

18 mpg + gas mileage is awesome for a 800R.

Cons:

Had a cold seize in the engine within 100hrs. Problem solved and fixed immediately by dealer.

Coolant leak first ride. Problem located and fixed immediately by dealer.

Bottom Line:

You have to ride one to know what I am feeling right now If you did, you would realize when you put an 151 horse power 800R motor in a machine that only weighs 437 pounds dry, you have a rocket ship on steroids.

The suspension can be adjusted to your riding style with ease. Shocks are easily adjusted on the front and the rear blocks are a breeze. You can tune your riding to suit any environment within minutes after you have done it a few times.

Some people have told me they do not like the 137" x 16" track, but I am loving it. It is quite obvious that these people do not go off trail very often or they would really appreciate the flotation and the traction you get from this track.

I am still breaking this sled in and loving it more and more each day. One of my favorite things to do is go boon docking, and carve up the snow drifts. this machine is so light, that you find yourself throwing the machine around in tighter carves then you would normally do.

So far we have had a few issues with the sled, but nothing that would make me stop riding it. If you go for a ride on a Ski-Doo MXZ Renegade X 800R and don't come back with a smile on your face, something is terribly wrong with you!

So far, the bottom Line is I would highly recommend taking a look at what Ski-Doo has to offer you before you purchase your next sled. Take a test ride, talk to your dealer, check out the Snowmobile Forums, but I know once you ride one you will look no further.
